AlphaMed was formed in August of 2020 to solve a problem. The founders identified a need in the PPE world specifically for small to medium sized quantities of nitrile medical exam gloves.

When the Covid-19 pandemic hit the US, investors were treating nitrile gloves as commodities. They are buying huge quantities (millions of boxes of gloves) and marking them up and flipping them to the next investor. Some boxes were literally sold multiple times without even leaving the warehouse. The net effect is that the end users on the front lines of fighting this pandemic were often not able to get these products without paying outrageous prices of $24-29 on Amazon for example. Prices had more than doubled in just a few months.

At AlphaMed we are fortunate enough to have factory direct connections to be able to buy gloves in bulk and sell in reasonable quantities to get them to the end users for nearly half of what they would pay in many other retail settings.
Our customers typically don’t need hundreds of thousands of boxes of gloves at once. They often need hundreds and sometimes thousands of boxes in the next few months. Our customers include hospitals, doctors offices, dentists, surgery centers, janitorial supply, food processing, marijuana industry, mechanics, body shops, tattoo artists, restaurants, tire stores, schools, fire departments, police departments, and more.

Many of our happy glove customers have asked us to help them navigate supply chain challenges or help them save money by directly sourcing a variety of other medical supplies and PPE items.
